Practical AI · Marketing & sales

Practical AI for UK marketing and sales teams.

Save hours. Win more leads. Measured in numbers.

I help UK businesses with 10–250 staff put AI to work where it pays back fastest: faster lead replies, proposals in your voice, CRM notes without retyping and reporting that writes itself. Every project starts with a baseline, so you see the hours saved.

The situation

Most teams already use AI. Few can say what it saves.

Usually a few people have ChatGPT open in another tab. There’s no shared approach, no agreement on what’s safe to paste, and no way to tell whether any of it is saving time.

That isn’t a technology problem. It’s a working-practice problem, and it’s fixable. I start where the payback is quickest, in marketing and sales, because that’s where the repetitive writing, chasing and reporting pile up.

The aim is simple: the same team, doing more of the work only people can do, with fewer hours lost to the rest. And a number to prove it.

I measure AI the same way I measure campaigns: a baseline, a change, and a number at the end.Menno Kuiper

Where the hours go

Five jobs AI should already be doing for your team.

None of this needs a new platform or a data-science team. It needs the right workflow, built around the tools you already use, with a person checking what goes out.

  1. 01

    Lead replies

Replies to new leads in minutes, not days.

NowEnquiries wait in a shared inbox until someone has a spare moment.
AfterA first reply is drafted as soon as the lead arrives, with the right details pulled in. A person checks it and presses send.
  2. 02

    Proposals & follow-ups

Drafted in your voice, checked by your team.

NowEvery proposal starts from last month’s document and an hour of copying and pasting.
AfterA first draft built from your notes, your pricing rules and your tone of voice, ready for review.
  3. 03

    CRM notes

Call notes that land in the CRM without retyping.

NowNotes live in notebooks and heads, and the CRM is always a week behind.
AfterCalls are summarised into the right fields, with next steps, before the next call starts.
  4. 04

    Reporting

    Weekly reporting that writes itself.

NowSomeone loses Monday morning to exports, screenshots and spreadsheets.
AfterA plain-English summary from GA4, the ad platforms and your CRM: what changed, and what to do about it.
  5. 05

    Team AI policy

A clear, GDPR-aware policy for how your team uses AI.

NowEveryone guesses what’s allowed, or quietly avoids AI altogether.
AfterShort written rules on tools, data and checks, so people use AI with confidence.

What could your team get back?

Bring these numbers to a call

This is a back-of-envelope sum, not a promise or a benchmark: people × weekly hours × your chosen share × 4.33 weeks. Every project replaces it with a measured baseline.

How it works

Every project starts with a baseline.

Before anything changes, we write down how long the work takes today. After, we measure it again. You see both numbers, so the value is never a matter of opinion.

Fig. 2Time it before, time it after.
01

Baseline

We time the chosen tasks as they are today: how long replies, proposals, notes and reports take, and who does them.

02

Build

I build the workflows on the tools you already pay for wherever possible. No new platform for the sake of it.

03

Train

Your team learns to use, check and improve them, with a written policy on what’s safe to share.

04

Measure

We time the same tasks again. You get the hours saved and the leads won, in numbers.

Ways to work together

Three ways to start.

Pick the one that fits where you are. Every option starts with a conversation about your team, your tools and where the hours go.

I.Half a day

AI Kick-start Workshop

A half-day with your team, working on your own tools.

  • We map where the hours go in marketing and sales
  • Everyone tries AI on real work, not demos
  • You leave with a short list of quick wins and a first draft of your AI policy

Best for: Teams that are curious but haven’t started together.

II.Four weeks

AI Marketing & Sales Ops Sprint

Four weeks from audit to working workflows.

  • Week 1: audit and baseline
  • Weeks 2–3: build and test the workflows with your team
  • Week 4: training, measurement and handover

Best for: Businesses ready to change how the work gets done.

Ask about the sprint →
III.Two days a month

Fractional AI Lead

Ongoing support, two days a month.

  • Keep the workflows working, and add new ones as you grow
  • A regular review of hours saved and leads won
  • A senior sounding board before you buy another tool

Best for: Teams that want momentum without a full-time hire.

The foundation

AI is new. Measuring what works isn’t.

Since 2010 I’ve managed more than £100M in ad spend across Google Ads, Meta and GA4, for brands including eBay, M&S International and Harrods. That’s why the AI work is judged on numbers, not novelty.

Performance marketing is still part of what I do, for businesses and for agencies. AI now makes that work faster too.

About

You speak to the person doing the work.

I started Dutch Digital in 2010 to close the gap between big-agency promises and actual revenue. No junior account managers, no fluff: senior work that shows up in your P&L.

I’m Dutch, based in the UK, and happy to work in English or Dutch. I build with AI myself: this website was rebuilt with it, and so was the Reading Rockets Basketball website, where I’m CMO.

I also write The AI Advantage, a newsletter on practical AI for UK small businesses.

Questions

Before we speak.

If yours isn’t here, ask it on the call.

We already use ChatGPT or Copilot. Is this still useful?

Yes. Most teams I meet already do. The work is turning scattered individual use into shared workflows that are safe, checked and measured.

Will we need new software?

Usually not. I start with the tools you already pay for, such as your email, office suite and CRM, and only suggest something new when it clearly earns its place.

Is it safe to use AI with customer data?

It can be, with the right tools and settings. Every project includes a clear, GDPR-aware policy: which tools to use, what can and can’t be pasted in, and where a person must check the output.

How do you measure the hours saved?

We record how long the chosen tasks take before anything changes, then measure the same tasks once the new workflows are running. You see both numbers.

Who is this for?

UK businesses with roughly 10 to 250 staff, with a marketing or sales team that spends real time writing, chasing and reporting.

Do you still do Google Ads and performance marketing?

Yes. It’s been the core of Dutch Digital since 2010, for businesses and for agencies. See the performance marketing services above.

Can we work in Dutch?

Ja, natuurlijk. I’m a native Dutch speaker and work in English or Dutch, with businesses in the UK and the Netherlands.
